Cotton Bowl Stadium Info
The Cotton Bowl Stadium has as much history as any venue in the country and is still currently home to the most heated college football game of the year "The Red River Rivalry." The Cotton Bowl Stadium was built in 1930 in the Fair Park area of Dallas, Texas for a total construction cost of $328,200. The stadium has been renovated multiple times since the most recent coming in 2008 to allow attendance of up to 96,009. The University of Texas Longhorns take on the Oklahoma Sooners annually at Cotton Bowl Stadium for what usually amounts to the victor becoming the Big 12 champion. Cotton Bowl Stadium tickets have also included concerts by Aerosmith, Santana, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, and many more. The Stadium was home to FC Dallas until 2005 and hosts the TicketCity Bowl. Other teams that have called the Cotton Bowl Stadium home include the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Texans, and the SMU Mustangs.
